January's Plant of the Month January 2004: Abies concolor 'Glenmore' is one of the best firs, with vivid blue-green needles and dense branching.
February's Plant of the Month February 2004: Hamamelis x lntermedia is an upright-spreading large shrub or small tree, with large fragrant bright yellow strap-like flowers.
March's Plant of the Month March 2004: CORYLOPSIS pauciflora is a small shrub with very pale yellow flowers that appear before the leaves in late April.
April's Plant of the Month April 2004: Amelanchier canadensis is a beautiful gray-barked multi-stemmed shrub, with new leaves emerging reddish and pubescent.
May's Plant of the Month May 2004: VIBURNUM sargentii 'Onondaga' is a beautiful gray-barked multi-stemmed shrub, with new leaves emerging reddish and pubescent.
June's Plant of the Month June 2004: CORNUS kousa 'Elizabeth Lustgarten' is a lovely weeping form of Kousa dogwood, with a graceful, rounded crown.
July's Plant of the Month July 2004: STEWARTIA pseudocamelliais an excellent small to medium sized tree, beautiful in all seasons.
August's Plant of the Month August 2004: OXYDENDRUM arboreum is a beautiful large shrub or small tree, with long drooping flower clusters in summer.
September's Plant of the Month September 2004: MISCANTHUS sinensis is a nice Japanese silver grass that stays more compact than other Miscanthus varieties.
October's Plant of the Month October 2004: FRANKLINIA altahama is a very beautiful, hard to find, late summer to fall blooming tree, with large single white flowers with yellow stamens.
November Plant of the Month November 2004: L. styraciflua 'Moraine' is a superb shade, lawn or park tree. It grows into an upright-oval with medium branch structure and excellent glossy foliage with brilliant red color in fall.
December Plant of the Month December 2004: Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Crippsii' is a loosely conical tree with exceptional, bright golden yellow foliage. One of the best of the yellow conifers. Full sun for best color.
